AB Comm Team B wins 2nd place in Twenty [24] Quatro

       DLSL AB Comm students once again proved that we have indeed entered the big league in filmmaking as they brought home the 2nd place in the recently concluded Twenty [24] Quatro Guerilla Filmmaking Competition sponsored by the Digital Filmmaking Department of the College of St. Benilde's School of Design and Arts. 

       DLSL sent two teams to the competition; Team A consisting of Steve Cardona, Carlo Jay Cuevas, Jerwin de Chavez and Jesus Manuel Torno; and Team B consisting of Kevin Dayrit, Arvin Jon Lat, Hector Lincallo Jr., and Jean Jacques Santos.  Team A won the the prize while the team from UP Diliman bagged the grand prize.  They were accompanied by the AB Comm Department chair, Mr. Eldrick S. Peña to the competition. 

       The Twenty [24] Quatro which was held on April 23 - 24 is a filmmaking marathon where select teams of student filmmakers develop, shoot and edit a film project in a 24-hour time period.  Teams from DLSU, FEU, Ateneo, UST, UP Diliman, PUP, De La Salle Lipa and host CSB participated in the competition.

      Earlier this year, students from the AB Comm Department participated and won in other national and regional film festivals such as DLSL's Cine Kumintang, UP Cinema's Piling Obrang Vidyo 6 (POV 6), NCCA's Cinema Rehiyon at the CCP, and DLSU's Indie:Unfilm Digital Filmmaking Competition.
